Intro to Photography
I feel humbled to be where I am with my photography. Could I be better? Sure, I could...But I am the sum of all my experiences to this point. I learned a long time ago that getting into the world of photography would be a long journey with no discernible end. Within the process is my enjoyment. As fast as technology is changing, one could never rest with a new camera coming out almost every month. If it's not the cameras, its the computers and software we use to process these ever growing image files.
I viewed a YouTube video this week that gave me a ton of perspective. Original Photoshop 1.0 When you watch this video you will just see how far we have come in how we edit our digital files. I have only been using Photoshop for approximately 4-5 years, so I never had to deal with this ancient software. I can tell you one thing, is that I am glad we have the advancements we do now. Where will we be in another 20 years? It's exciting to think about the future. Maybe we will have flying cars by then...
Where and when did you start your photo journey? Did you get the best info possible when you started? If you were like me you didn't. I think everyone who is a photographer could appreciate the importance of starting on the right foot. There are many early decisions one could make that would help you avoid the many pitfalls that await you in the world of photography.
So, as I reflect on the many years I have invested into my photography I sometimes wish I had a few undo's like in Photoshop. I'm not unhappy with where I am at, but I understand that if I had a better start I would be in a much different place. With that said, it is never to late to give yourself a restart. Go back and focus on the basics. I have found my greatest growth with going back and revisiting some basics in photography.
I have put together a basic "Intro to Photography" course that I will be teaching with one of my best friends this next week. I have wanted to for a long time to give back and help others with this great hobby. Photography has been a huge enjoyment for me, and I want to pass on that enthusiasm to others.

Dog Gone Diggin
Cole and Otis... Two brothers who had the best of times. Otis the brown Lab would get into trouble all the time and his brother Cole would just watch and bark at him. These two were inseparable and were the best companions for my brother and his family. Seeing them always happy and playing in their yard brought a smile to my face. Dogs are the best therapists in the world. They always smile and love you no matter what. Their unconditional love is evident all the time.

Driving in the rain
Driving in the rain is just so much fun. You have the nice cautious people who are driving way below the speed limit and then you have the race car people who are in and out of traffic throwing water all over the place. I took some pictures this morning one the way into town and thought I would share.

It has been a while since I have made a post here. I have come a little farther in my pursuit in becoming a photographer. I am now enrolled in a photography course with the Academy of Art University. I hope to grow and learn as I journey into the land of photography. I hope you enjoy a few new images.
